Weekly Skin Care Routine
February 9, 2016How has Electrolysis changed through the years.
June 28, 2016Summer is here! We are happier and look forward to spending time outdoors.
Our faces, legs, arms our whole body will bask in the sun, the beach will nourish our body and mind. And of course we want to be smooth and hairless – smooth underarms, clean bikini, hairless legs and arms are a must.
Shaving, waxing, tweezing are repetitive, annoying – the hair grows back very soon. Irritations, ingrowns can occur which can be exacerbated by the sun and swimming. For lazer treatments you need to stay out of the sun for weeks before and after treatment.
Electrolysis is the only FDA approved method of permanent hair removal.
Many of us have started our treatments in the fall and winter and we only need a little maintenance which can be done safely through spring and summer. But even if you want to start now, it is safe to have electrolysis treatments during the summer months if you follow some basic steps.
After the treatment, the pores are slightly open and irritated for two days. As a result, the follicles are more susceptible to bacteria and germs. Do not expose the treated area to the sun for a minimum of 24 hours before and approximately 48 hours after treatment.
Also, it is important to apply a high caliber sunscreen immediately after the treatment session and until the complete healing of the skin.
After these few days, you may enjoy the sun and the heat again and show off the results of your electrolysis sessions.
