October 9, 2014Are You Experiencing More Facial Hairs ?
October 10, 2014We all know “the secret” of a beautiful glowing skin is more then skin deep. Our mind, body and “bien-entre” (well-being) as well as, stress management has a lot to do with how our cells communicate. Along with a good cleansing regiment will in return condition a healthy mind and silky skin.
As our skin matures, it becomes delicate, losses its elasticity, changes occur in the moisture level and pigmentation. It is highly recommended to always wear a sunscreen of SPF15 and keep hydrated with water.
It is a good practice after sun exposure, to allow a few days or weeks of healing process before any treatment. Let it be electrolysis, a facial or any skin enhancing visit at the doctor’s office.
Over time the exposure to the sun and the elements can cause sunspots on our hands and face also on the forehead and cheek areas. Through time, the skin slows down it’s healing process and recovery time can take longer
Skin pigmentation is what provides us with different skin tones. Darker skin tone has more melanin in comparison to lighter skin. The lighter you are the less melanin is being produced, therefore greater risk of skin damage due to sun exposure and photo sensitivity (the elements). Melanin protects our skin when exposed to UV (ultra violet) radiation. It absorbs the light and dispels it.
During pregnancy called the pregnancy’s mask ( in some women) and “menopause” our bodies endure an increase of “hormonal changes” due to an elevated production in melanin comes into play, likewise through the combination of medications (antibiotics or contraceptive pills) and exposure to the sun.
“Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart.” – Kahlil Gibran
